Homeowners Association (HOA) Law
Burleson Law provides legal advice to HOAs for association authority and operating structure; duties and responsibilities of its officers and directors; collection of past due assessments and foreclosure assessment liens; development issues, including the homeowners association’s transition from developer/declarant to homeowner control; drafting and amending of governing documents (declarations, bylaws, rules and regulations, etc.); preparation of third party agreements, such as vendor agreements; operational issues, including general corporate matters, enforcement of covenants and restrictions, management issues, and document interpretation.
Landlord and Tenant Law
Burleson Law has more than seven years of experience in representing clients in residential and commercial real property disputes. When a dispute arises between a landlord and tenant we can help resolve the dispute in a timely manner. We are experienced in seeking innovative, cost effective paths to dispute resolution to avoid costly litigation. Marijuana
We have developed the legal knowledge and resources that marijuana-based business will need, whether they are handling marijuana directly or indirectly. Wills and Trusts
We represent individuals in the creation of wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney, and living wills. Burleson Law provides legal representation and advice on the preparation of wills, trusts and powers of attorney, including discussing possible tax issues that may be related to the disposition of a person’s estate and working with the client's accountant on such matters.
